Neil deGrasse Tyson explains how to think outside the box

Are you a good problem solver? If presented with a problem, are you the type of person who can evaluate a situation and come up with a solution, or are you the type of person that needs to know the answer in order to fix a problem?

There is a big difference in knowing the right answer and figuring out the right answer. Knowing the right answer, just requires a Google search or a textbook or doing a little homework.

Figuring out the answer, on the other hand, requires you to think outside the box and come up with the solution to a problem.

In the video above, Neil deGrasse Tyson explains why it is better to figure out the answer than to just know it.
